Park Rite named as one of Ireland's 20 Best Managed Companies!
Park Rite has been named as one of Ireland's 'Best Managed' companies in the Deloitte Best Managed Companies Awards. In total, twenty companies who demonstrated superior business performance were recognised at an awards gala dinner in the Burlington Hotel in Dublin, which was attended by the Taoiseach, Mr Brian Cowen T.D., on 5th March 2010.

The Deloitte Best Managed Awards Programme, in association with Bank of Scotland (Ireland), recognises indigenous Irish companies across the island of Ireland which are operating at the highest levels of business performance.
The independent judging panel, chaired by Denis Brosnan, reviewed a broad range of criteria including strategy, capability, commitment, financials and growth potential across all key functions of the business. Given the turbulent economic environment, the judging panel recognised that business and management success can no longer simply be measured by increased sales, profit or turnover. For that reason, a holistic view of the companies, their performance in relation to their peers, and the industries that they are operating in was considered in order to determine management success.
Commenting on the award, St. John O' Gara, Group Chief Executive, Park Rite said "We are proud that our unrelenting focus on exceeding client expectations has been recognised by the Deloitte Best Managed Company Awards."
Commenting on the winners of the Deloitte Best Managed Companies Awards Programme, Pat Cullen, Managing Partner, Deloitte said: "To be recognised as a Best Managed Company is a tremendous achievement, given the challenges that companies in all industries are currently experiencing. Our judging panel takes an in-depth look at each company - therefore to be chosen as a winner is testament to the sound management practices that are being implemented across the entire business. It is this thorough approach that will help these companies to take advantage of the upturn when it arrives."
David Latto, Head of Corporate Banking, Bank of Scotland (Ireland), and judging panel member said: "The 20 winning companies are an inspiration for all Irish companies by managing to show great focus and dedication in what has been a difficult year. Bank of Scotland (Ireland) is very proud to be a part of recognising and supporting their achievements and we hope these companies will continue to flourish and succeed in the years ahead."
The Deloitte Best Managed Companies Awards Programme is open to companies from all 32 counties on the island of Ireland. It is the only awards programme that considers a business' performance from every perspective. Details of entry for the 2010/2011 awards will be issued in the coming weeks on www.deloittebestmanaged.ie
The 'Best Managed' designation is an important marketing tool for the winning companies – but, perhaps most importantly, the awards provide a reason to celebrate the efforts of the entire company.

Campaign Launched To Get Drivers Off To A Safe Start

A new road safety awareness campaign was launched this week by the Road Safety Authority (RSA) and Park Rite, targeting major car parks around the country.
The campaign will see awareness raising posters which display seat belt wearing and Daytime Running Lights (DRL) messages at highly visible locations, at the entry and exit point and pay station areas, in Park Rite car parks throughout the country. Park Rite has provided all the poster sites in their car parks free of charge to the RSA.
According to Mr. Noel Brett, Chief Executive, Road Safety Authority, "the aim of the campaign, is to deliver an important road safety message to drivers and passengers at a key point of intervention, the start of their journey."
He added "The RSA is indebted to Park Rite for their generous support of this campaign. Indeed we have been working together to promote road safety for the past five years. I have no doubt that this campaign will create a greater awareness of seatbelt wearing rates among drivers and passengers, and encourage drivers to use their dipped headlights during the daytime."
Mr. St. John O'Gara, Chief Executive, Park Rite said "Park Rite is delighted to be associated with this excellent initiative. Car parks are a starting point for thousands of journeys every day and we want to ensure drivers get off to a safe start, by reminding them of the importance of wearing safety belts and using their dipped headlights during the daytime."

"We are delighted to win these awards", commented Park Rite’s Group Chief Executive, St. John O Gara. Our success in these awards is evidence of the value we provide to our customers.
