Bicycle parking at Drury Street multi-storey car park growns in popularity

In 2009 Dublin City Council launched a bicycle parking area in Drury Street multi-storey car park. This initiative was designed to facilitate a growth in bicycle use in the city and to provide an alternative for those who would otherwise lock their bicycles to lamp-posts and railings in the area. In 2018 the bicycle parking area was increases in size and can now facilitate close to 350 bicycles. The upgrade also included better lighting, CCTV security cameras, a public bicycle maintenance area with basic tools, and parking spaces for cargo bicycles.The car park is open 24/7 so cyclists can can drop or collect their bicycles at any time. The popularity of the bicycle parking area has grown significantly since 2018. Check it out on your next cycling trip into the Georges St / Grafton Street area.
